drinking soda with food it still a bad thing to do, your body will try harder to alkalize that ton of acid and more acid if you are eating junk food like Mcd, BK, wendys etc etc.Take a soda and try to alkalize it with sodium bicarbonate, one of the pancreatic fluid and you will see that you will need a big box to just neutralize that can of soda. So, the answer will be stop the junk food and get more greens.

…but, but the stomach produces acid… OMFG! *rips out own stomach and tosses it aside* Thanks Doc, I can’t imagine how I lived with something like that in me for so long. That should make everything okay, right? After all, there’s absolutely nothing else in the body which produces any acids and you should know, what with the years of study you’ve put into your degree, the verified patients you’ve cured, and the stethoscope (after all, it’s illegal for anyone but doctors to own those…).

    Awesome video.

I have celiac disease and I eat very few grains. Nutritional yeast is usually gluten containing (ie: brewer’s yeast). Also, I imagine consuming more yeast is not-so-good for people who suffer from yeast overgrowth.

I eat very few grains. For this reason, it is likely that I may be B-vitamin deficient. I feel awful every time I eat grains and find it unlikely to readd them to my diet. Did you say garlic has it? Any other fruits or vegetables or foods that contain B-3 and B-6?

    Great work!

  5. ODoctorRotcodO says:

2-3 heaping tablespoons of nutritional yeast every day is an excellent source.

so doc how much b2 b3 do I need to take a day ?

Metabolic acids are quickly removed from the blood to keep the heart contracting. When the alkaline tissue reserves become depleted (magnesium from muscle and calcium carbonate from bone)and/or multi-vitamin deficiency (primarily nicotinic acid) results in an inability for the cells’ mitochondria to complete break down (oxidize) the metabolic acids, then an environment is presented for normally-balanced viruses and mycoplasma to overgrow.

  8. antares4141 says:

Say the kidneys can’t correct the ph of your blood when you drink soda. You allude that drinking soda on an empty stomach lowers the ph of the blood which results in mycoplasma overgrowth in cells/tissues as well as breaking down the hydrogen barrier which robs the cells of their ability to make energy causing fatigue. How is all this possible when you explain later in the same video that the parathyroid gland releases parathyroid hormone which brings the blood back up to a normal ph?

You’re still overlooking the verity that chicken and cheese are primarily digested by ALKALINE enzymes from the pancreas (the acid in the stomach only begins the process but most digestion is performed by alkaline-rich enzymes); therefore, dissolving chicken and cheese similar to what the digestive tract simply proves my point: that soda should only be drunk with food. “Common sense” is why we have so much “common” chronic fatigue.

  10. ODoctorRotcodO says:

Here’s a simple experiment you CAN do: Take a glass of that caffeinated soda with a pack of short-term energy but long-term potential tissue destruction, stick a chicken wishbone in the glass and see how long it takes for the bone to completely dissolve (then watch your own spine as the years pass)! If you need caffeine, drink coffee or tea (pH above 6). By the way, for added fun you can get pH strips at the pool store for $6.

  11. antares4141 says:

I can’t really afford to do these test’s myself, and I don’t have the academic background, but it would be interesting. I would think you might have to dissolve the chicken and cheese (similar to what the digestive tract does)to get an accurate measurement. Point is I think your making a mountain out of a molehill with all this. And I couldn’t resit challenging your position. I could be wrong I am no expert just my poorly informed opinion based on common sense and what I can get off of google.

  12. ODoctorRotcodO says:

Soda is 10,000 times more acidic than human blood (and by the way, chicken and cheese is NOT). Go get a pH meter for yourself and THEN tell me where I’m wrong!

  13. ODoctorRotcodO says:

The phosphoric acid in chicken and cheese is in a SOLID form and is therefore neutralized by the alkaline pancreatic enzymes which NEUTRALIZE and acid bolus of food exiting the stomach into the small intestine. This neutralizing effect of pancreatic enzymes does NOT happen with soda if drunk on an empty stomach.

  14. antares4141 says:

The link between osteoporosis and caffeinated sodas isn’t clear, but caffeine may interfere with calcium absorption and its diuretic effect may increase mineral loss. In addition, the phosphoric acid in soda may contribute to bone loss by changing the acid balance in your blood. If you do drink caffeinated soda, be sure to get adequate calcium and vitamin D from other sources in your diet or from supplements.

  15. antares4141 says:

Some experts point out that the amount of phosphoric acid in soda is minimal compared to that found in chicken or cheese. And no one’s telling women to stop eating chicken.

I just gave in the my nephew and niece to buy sodas with their pizza when they come to visit. Now I know never to let them have it without the meal. That goes for me too. Actually I usually avoid the stuff anyway but will completely now.
